I moved to Sioux Narrows in 1972 and have never regretted it a minute. My wife Kathy and I bought a cabin on Johnson Road and it became our family home. We have three children, Dave, Jake and Marie who all have the love of the outdoors like we do. Jake and I have been working together for eleven great years now. We know lake life. We are living it.
Getting outside is what Kathy and I do. For the past 29 falls we have participated in the Terry Fox Run so you may see us running on the highway in the summer mornings. Evenings are for fishing or kayaking or shore picnics “out on the lake” with friends and family. Winter finds us cutting tracks on our cross country skis’ on the park trails or trying some hard water fishing. Love that fresh air.
I received my Real Estate license in 1992 and started Northwoods Realty Ltd. in 1997. Wow where does the time go? I have been having fun. Helping Buyers find their dream vacation property is very satisfying. I get to meet plenty of great people who have the same likes as Jake and I: The love of the outdoors, a small town community and honest, straight forward folks. When representing Sellers I recognize the necessity to be sensitive to their needs. It is hard to leave Lake of the Woods when many of your best memories are related to your cottage property or vacation home. Jake
I was born and raised in Sioux Narrows. I know the area well. I have explored Lake of the Woods and many of the surrounding smaller lakes by boat, snowmobile and canoe. I have worked on the lake as a fishing guide and have worked all over Northwestern Ontario as a Forest Fire Fighter. I enjoy every minute I can spend out on the lake and believe I could spend the rest of my life exploring the lake and never go to the same place twice. I spend as much time as I can on the lake with my wife Amy and my family and friends.
Over the past few years one of my main pursuits has been road and trail running. I have been racing the half-marathon distance and ran my first Ultra-marathon in the fall of 2010, completing the 52 mile trail course in 12:19:47. I am currently training for the first annual Sioux Narrows Paradise Triathlon which will be held on August 10, 2013.
I have been working for Northwoods Realty, and with my Dad for eleven great years. I love living and working in Sioux Narrows and Northwoods Realty has been a natural fit.
