Spring has arrived early and fast! Most of the snow has melted over the last week and the ice has started opening up under the bridge.   Who knows how long the warm weather will last, many times we get some nice weather followed by a big snow storm.  As for when the ice will go out, if this weather keeps up we could have one of the earliest ice-outs in recent memory.  I will keep you posted.  With what looks like an early spring now is a great time to start thinking about buying or selling, give us a call any time at 807-226-1024. We are looking forward to a busy spring season, as we have already had a busy start to 2012.

A big thank you to Nestor Falls Fly-in and our pilot Kyle for a great flight yesterday.  It couldn’t have been a better day, and we got some amazing video and photos.  As I update the site you will start to see more aerial photos of our listings.  I got some great HD video with my new wide-angle lens for my i-phone and you can take a look at some of these on the listing page for the 17.5 acre island.  What a truly spectacular location we are lucky enough to live in and enjoy, if you ever want to experience a flight like this give Dave and Michelle a call at Nestor Falls Fly-in Outposts.

The Sioux Narrows Arts Festival is coming up on the August Long Weekend. If you have never been, you should check it out, an amazing array of talent on display. Here is the link to their Facebook Page.

It runs Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31st from 10-4.

July 1st celebrations are coming up soon. Events in Sioux Narrows kick off in the morning with kids Bike Parade in the Trading Post parking lot followed by kids races next door in the school field. Bruce has been organizing and donating prizes for the kids races for many years and is hoping that there will be a great turn-out again this year as July 1st falls on a long weekend. There will be sack races, three legged races, running races, egg-toss and more. In Nestor Falls, come out to Bass Lake park where celebrations will be going on all day with Fireworks at dusk. In Sioux Narrows the fireworks take place at the bridge at dusk. Hope to see you out on Canada Day! – Jake
