The lake is now free of ice! So if you have been dreaming of island life over the winter, we can now take you out by boat to look at all of our island and water access properties. Give us a call if you would like to find out more about island life in the Sioux Narrows, Nestor Falls, and Morson areas of Lake of the Woods.

Spring of 2024 is just around the corner! Hopefully, the ice will be off the lake by mid to late April this year. For updates on ice conditions, check out this excellent blog: Lake of the Woods Ice Patrol.

November 27, 2023 - Freeze up

It's cooling off enough to freeze the lake soon, so it is a good time to re-post this video I made back in 2019. The video shows the last open water around the Sioux Narrows area, just west of the Sioux Narrows bridge. This is the deepest part of Lake of the Woods and so it is often the last to freeze over.
